This is the place for those who wanted to travel through the heart of Seoul. The place known as Hip-Ji-ro where once a small industrial area has embraced young and hip culture, very unique experience for new comers!

It's good for tourist who wanna save money. The location is good. 1 min walk to subway station and convenient store.

The room was a little be small.

It’s close to the metro station and walking distance to some of the tourist spots (and a really good taco shop if you need a break from Korean food) The room was kind of tight with 2 suitcases but bed was comfortable. We did laundry and it was really cheap. Wifi was good. The staff were really nice and they all speak English well. They even helped with recommendations with food.

They don’t vacuum the room and change the sheets when you request for clean up (maybe they will if you request it on the clean up sheet) they just cleaned out the bins and gave new towels. We stayed for 6 days so maybe cleaning the room on the third day would have been nice. We are pretty neat so it wasn’t a big deal.

Affordable Stay

It's one of the cheapest offers around Seoul for a private room so it's understandably small. Train station is conveniently directly in front (1 min walk). The toilet has bidet function. Wifi was stable. Staff was friendly. They have a shared fully equiped kitchen.

It took a while to find the place as you have to go through a small alleyway.

Homely place. Central kitchen n laundry available

Location was good except lift at exit 10 was down for a few days so we had to climb the long stairs up n down each day.

The twin bed was too close ( space constraints) n you hv to crawl to end of bed to get off instead of side.

First of all in the photos it says Philstay but Philstay is a different hotel in Myeongdong and this hotel is actually in Chungmu-ru secondly booking.com should remove the photo saying it philstay from its website

Par for price for a location within walking distance to great spots.

Didn't get to try the breakfast but there was a water dispenser for cold water and making coffee, which was very helpful. The room was just enough for 1 pax so I'm comfortable with it, but if you come in a pair then you'll be struggling for luggage space. The toilet was very small but otherwise sufficient. The staffs' service was great as they could speak some English and helped with recommendations. The place was also 10-15mins' walking distance to Gwangjang Market, Dongdaemun and also Myeongdong night market area, which are 3 to-go spots.

It’s great place to sleep and take a nap. Super small, not enough room for your bag. And it’s super acquired to take a shower. It’s value your money and it’s close to metro station.

Good enough for budget travellers.

Good service. The staff were friendly and helpful and quick to reply to my inquiries online. Breakfast was toast, cheese, 2 types of cereal, two types of cup ramen, an assortment of jam, butter, and spread, plus juice and coffee. Good!

Bed sheets weren't as clean as I expected. There was hair and a bit of dirt on the sheets when I checked in. Although I always see the staff doing the laundry and washing bed sheets when someine checks out so they do clean. But maybe they should hire expert cleaners from time to time. Bed was kind of lumpy too. Overall, good enough for a budget traveler.

Mr.Yang The General Manager of Tripstay myeongdong is exceptionally kind and accomodating to the needs of his clients.He is a problem fixer and helped me and my sister with whatever we needed,even helping me break open my jammed luggage and booking me a train ticket to Nami Island????I have booked here again for a return stay even before I left????Needless to say,I think we found our favorite hotel in seoul and we will be coming back to stay often.The rooms are adequately sized for me and my sister and its a twin room.The hotel provides you with everything you need.I have stayed at other places in seoul and this one for me is among the best.
